When water builds up between your tires and the roads in Tucson your car is at risk of hydroplaning. A new set of all-season tires are designed to deliver good comfort and handling on the highway, as well as reliable traction in the rain. In the past, most all-season tires featured symmetrical tread patterns, however, there are many new all-season tires that are now featuring an asymmetrical tread pattern. An asymmetrical pattern may offer higher speed and load ratings for your car or truck on wet roads.
Each all-season tire is constructed with a series of internal steel belts, polyester cord and rubber compounds that are designed for traction and performance in wet or dry conditions. All-season tires are not the best option for tough winter conditions such as snow and ice. However, a new set of all-season tires offers drivers in Tucson confident performance during nice and moderate weather conditions.
All-season tires offer deep grooves and blades to channel water away from the tire. Grooves widen to help displace water on the road as your tire wears. As tire tread blades become more shallow with wear they will open up to become wider grooves. A dryer tire provides more grip and minimizes the possibility of hydroplaning in the rain.
All-season tires offer a smooth, quiet ride by adding an extra layer of super-shock absorbent layer of rubber between the tread layer and steel belts. The extra rubber cushion insulates against road vibration and impacts.
Affording a new set of all-season tires has never been easier at Simmons 4x4 Automotive Repair Center. Ask us about offsetting the cost of a set of tires with manufacturer rebates. Most name-brand tire manufacturers offer rebates on all-season or touring tires. This helps keep the cost of a new set of tires low. Give us a call today at 520-884-0217 and ask us about the cost of a set of tires with a manufacturer rebate. One of our tire specialists will be happy to help.
Top name brand tires offer more than just rebates. Brands such as Bridgestone, Goodyear and Michelin feature all-season tires with the highest UTQG (Uniform Tire Quality Grading) rating. The rating system was developed by the US Department of Transportation, which helps consumers compare and rate tires on tread wear, traction, and temperature. The government mandates that tires have at least a 100 UTQG wear rating. Most sets of new all-season tires have a UTQG rating of 400, meaning that they will last four times longer than the government mandate.
However, please don't link tread wear grades with your projected tire mileage. Each new all-season tire also comes with a traction and temperature rating that represents the level of grip a tire has under normal road conditions. New tires have a grade of "A" for superior, "B" for good and "C" for average. Most name-brand all-season tires have a grade of "A".

What People Say About Us
I have been using Simmons for a few years now and have always been treated great and had quality auto work. Drive line shop is the best!!!Thanks Simmons
Caring, honest work, fair prices and excellent customer service. This is the only shop I will take my van to!
I was very happy with my service. I have a jeep and I felt they cared for it as well as I would myself.
They consistently provided feedback and followed up on the progress via phone and email.
Well let me just say that this might not be the cheapest place to fix your 4X4 but after this I will say that they are very thorough and professional. They give you a list of things to fix and advise you as to what is critical and what is not. They work with you and are very professional about it. I will have to say that they did miss one thing that I took it in for originally but probably due to them fixing something that they assumed would fix the problem. I do think that it should have been caught before I picked up the truck and drove home necessitating another trip to their shop. BUT, and a big BUT, it was corrected the second time at no charge which I didn't even have to argue for...This is what I call customer service. Mike was a consummate professional in all my dealings with him...Good Job guys, the truck drives beautiful and hopefully for another 3-4 years!!!
Wade was great. They did a complete work up on my partners car. This was the second work up in 2 weeks. I wanted her to take it to Jerry and have a "Second Opinion" on the state of the car. The mechanics found things that need maintenance and others that need repair. Some of them were not even found by first place she took the car to be examined. Like Jerry says on his radio show you get what you pay for and I always tell everyone that Simmons is Worth the cost.
Took our Jeep in for a "death wobble". Assessments and estimates were clear, concise. Excellent communication throughout by email and phone. I would highly recommend!!
